James K Diamond
Jim attended the University of Illinois at Chicago for his undergraduate studies and graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. Jim continued his studies at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan and received his J.D. in 1990. He is admitted to practice by the Illinois State Bar and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Early in his career, Jim clerked for the United States Attorney Department of Justice, Western District of Michigan, and Grand Rapids, Michigan and also volunteered as a lawyer intern rendering legal services to the elderly. In addition, he was previously responsible for overseeing the administration of legal services to over one thousand legal service plan members who were assigned to his previous firm through Legal Services Plan of America.
In 1998, Jim opened The Law Office of James K. Diamond, P.C. Jim's practice encompasses a variety of cases ranging size, complexity, and variety. Throughout his three decade career, he gained valuable experience practicing in Cook, DuPage, Lake, Kane, and McHenry counties. Jim handles a diverse caseload consisting of matrimonial, bankruptcy, commercial and residential real estate, criminal, contract litigation, and several other cases. He has extensive courtroom experience and has been trained and qualified as both a civil mediator and arbitrator.
